William Bruce Evans--injury--photos

In December of 2001, William Bruce Evans suffered a heart attack while being operated on to remove an inflamed appendix. Three days after this surgery, he underwent open heart surgery to "unclog" five arteries. Dr. Brian Castlemain performed the life-saving surgery.

After suffering for years with chronic knee pain, Bruce had BOTH KNEES replaced during the same surgery!  Needless to say, his rehab was a LONG event. He spent 2 weeks in a rehab center getting the expert care he needed in order to recover including physical therapy, occupational therapy, and 24/7 nursing assistance.

After suffering with intense shoulder pain, Bruce had a surgeon repair what he could to his damaged ligaments and tendons. Jessie attempts to cheer Grandpa up, but really is just being a stinker!  March 3, 2007.

April 24, 2012--An ambulance took Bruce to the hospital, after his right leg gave out and he fell down four stairs. After an MRI revealed major lower back disc damage, a neurosurgeon admitted Bruce and he underwent a surgery to remove 5 large pieces of a herniated disc. He is spending 7 days in a rehab hospital to help his injury heal quicker. Aunt Sharon and Lyn Belnap, Dad's only sister, visited Dad before moving back to Logan, Utah. They have spent one year in Independence, Mo on a church genealogy mission..
On April 27, 2012, Dad and Mom celebrated 50 years of marriage. Dad skyped and face timed his kids from the rehab center while Mom rested at home after a grueling week of intense emotion.
Jessie wishes Grandpa happy anniversary!
